Hellenbäch is a three-piece Metal band crafting a sound through decades of obsession with heavy music, emerging from darkness with the assertion that some ideas refuse to stay buried. With lyrics colored by the Horror and Epic Fantasy genres fused into modern reality, the trio surfaced from the Tri-State metal underground, driven by the legacy of Metal Gods who came before them.
Hellenbäch's origins trace a lifetime of friendship surrounded by music, live shows, and the metal scene where bassist/vocalist Frank G (Toxin) and guitarist/vocalist Pete Demon (Witches of Moodus, Sinners) first crossed paths as teenagers. Hellenbäch began in 2022, evolving from collective writing sessions and shared influences into its current form. Drummer/vocalist Mykill Vittoria (Fever Vein, Sinners) completed the trio in 2025, enhancing the unique dynamic of having all members performing lead vocals on different tracks throughout Hellenbäch's work.
A proud nod to their roots fuels Hellenbäch's songwriting. Pete Demon's guitar lifestyle began when he was influenced at the age of 10 by Johnny Winter's playing, which made him click with the instrument and expand his interests to Kiss and all things heavy metal. Frank G was a guitarist first, learning from his cousin, Dr. James Waldron, who was a part of the 1960's NYC Village scene, playing alongside Bob Dylan; Frank later learned bass guitar as he leaned toward the heavy sounds of Black Sabbath, Motörhead, Led Zeppelin, and Deep Purple, and started the band Toxin with Tony Portaro of Whiplash fame. Mykill's double duty on drums and bass was influenced by Kiss, Black Sabbath, and Rush.
Out of the Darkness marks the band's debut with a full-length, which balances the grit and weight of traditional heavy metal with an atmosphere shaped by real-life experiences and imagined worlds, where moments of darkness and resilience intertwine. Hellenbäch approaches each and every live experience as their best one yet, bringing their full energy forward for longtime supporters and new listeners alike. With Pete's place in the stagehand union, Frank's experience as a guitar tech, and Mykill's extensive touring background, Hellenbäch knows exactly what goes into a great show. Each of the members have shared stages with the likes of Jake E. Lee's Red Dragon Cartel, Type O Negative, Gwar, Whiplash, Manowar, and Fozzy.
Hellenbäch is already looking toward the future, writing another record while continuing to build their presence in the modern metal landscape. Their sound is not so much a revival as a continuation of something unfinished, sustaining the past forward into a present that is louder, darker, and fully alive.
